The car was supposed to go on sale in early August 2018, but the launch has been pushed back to the second half of next month. A rival company has an event during the same time period and that’s why the launch has been pushed. Nexa dealers now have some more time to clear unsold stocks of the outgoing Ciaz Sedan which are available with discounts from Rs 75,000 to as high as Rs 1.3 lakh (depending on inventory).
Maruti will add LED headlamps and tail-lamp inserts, along with daytime running lights to the Ciaz, and the car will also get new-look alloy wheels and a new grille. On the inside, apart from other minor tweaks, you will get an all-new instrument cluster with a new multi-info display.
An all-new 104hp, 1.5-litre petrol motor will debut on this car and will be making an appearance in the new Ertiga. The engine will also get smart hybrid tech, which is similar to the SHVS system that’s on the current Ciaz diesel.
