Before it’s debut at this year’s Geneva Motor Show another teaser shot of the Pininfarina Fittipaldi EF7 Vision Gran Turismo has been released. The new teaser shows the front of its monocoque carbonfibre body, while a previous image showed the rear of the car.
This supercar is a collaboration that has brought together former Brazilian F1 champion and Indy 500 winner Emerson Fittipaldi and Pininfarina.
The resulting supercar will pack in more than 600hp from a V8 engine. With an expected weight of 1000 kgs only, the EF7 is expected to have a high power to weight ratio. Designed to be a track car, it is expected to have a short production run, number of units though are not confirmed.
Pininfarina has stated that both the engine and gearbox would be sourced from a single manufacturer with which EF7 owner-drivers can expect reliability, lower maintenance cost and minimal mechanic and tech teams – “which means more time and elation on the track,” motor racing legend Fittipaldi said.
The car will also feature in PlayStation’s Gran Turismo video game for digital download. More information on the EF7 will be released at its reveal on March 7 at the Geneva Motors show where Pininfarina will also show a saloon concept.
Pininfarina is an Italian design house in which India’s Mahindra & Mahindra owns a 76.06 percent stake.
