The company’s new entry-level model, the Portofino convertible, will replace the existing California T.
The car comes with a folding hard top, and is powered by a 3.9-litre twin-turbo V8 (which also does duty in the California T). The engine makes 600hp and 760Nm of torque in this car, which is an increase of 40hp. The company claims it can hit 100kph in 3.5 seconds and can go on to a top speed of over 320kph.
The Portofino gets its name from a small Italian fishing village. It is built on an all-new chassis that’s lighter yet more rigid than the California T. This will be the first GT car from Ferrari to come with an electric power steering. On the inside, there’s a revised infotainment system with a 10.2-inch touchscreen and a redesigned wind deflector that reduces air flow inside the cabin by 30 percent with the top down.
