The Lamborghini Urus is a performance SUV from the Italian carmaker. The design inspiration of this SUV has been taken from its sports cars like the Huracan and Aventador and the SUV just follows the same design language with an aggressive stance. The first Urus of India has arrived in Mumbai, which comes with a swanky red paint job.
The Urus has been priced at Rs. 3 crores (ex-showroom) and all the cars alloted to the Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore dealerships have been sold out. Lamborghini won't be taking any further bookings of the performance SUV until 2019. The Urus is based on the MLB platform that also underpins the Bentley Bentayga, Porsche Cayenne and the Audi Q7.
Powering the Lamborghini Urus is a 4.0-litre V8 bi-turbo petrol engine that produces 650 HP of power at 6000 RPM and 850 Nm of torque at 2250-4500 RPM. This beast of an engine is mated to a 8-speed automatic transmission. 0-100 km/hr acceleration time of the Urus is a whopping 3.6 seconds along with a top speed of 305 km/hr.
