The company won’t offer the car with a manual gearbox anymore.

  • Ford Endeavour only in three variants now

The automaker’s large seven-seat SUV will now be available in three variants. The car was originally available in as many as six variants since its launch. The 2.2 4x4 MT Trend and the more powerful 3.2 4x4 AT Trend variants have been discontinued. Last year, Ford stopped selling the base 2.2 4x2 Trend variant. This means that the Endeavour is no longer available in a manual version - the 2.2-litre diesel loses its all-wheel-drive system, while the bigger 3.2-litre unit is only available as a 4x4.

The car continues to be sold in two trims – Trend and the top-spec Titanium – with the 2.2-litre unit available in both trims. You can only get the 3.2 diesel in the top Titanium trim.  This revision comes right after the car’s one year anniversary in India. The discontinuation could be Ford streamlining the Endeavour’s line-up, following low sales. The Endeavour competes with Toyota’s Fortuner, the Mitsubishi Pajero Sport and the Isuzu MU-X in our market.

Ford has begun testing a facelift for the Endeavour internationally. The facelifted car or Everest as it is called in some markets, could make a public debut next year.
