Volvo has launched the second variant of S90 sedan range in India. The new S90 Momentum is a base variant in the S90 range and is roughly Rs. 7 lakhs cheaper than the top of the line Inscription variant.
The S90 Momentum comes equipped with a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system along with digital gauges, auto parking system, front and rear parking sensors and a standard rear camera. On the safety front, it gets six airbags, ABS, EBD, brake assist, hill-start assist, adaptive cruise control with pilot assist and ISOFIX seats. The piano black finish on the grille and circular exhaust tips are some of the changes on the exteriors of the S90 Momentum.
This entry level variant misses out on many things like front seat ventilation with massage function, foldable rear seats, the Bowers and Wilkins sound system, a rear sun-shade, a hands-free tailgate opening function, heads-up display, Blind Spot Assist, paddle shifters and air suspension.
Powering the S90 Momentum is a 190 HP, 2.0-litre D4 diesel engine which is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. The Volvo S90 Momentum takes on the Mercedes E-Class, Jaguar XF, Audi A6 and BMW 5-Series in the Indian market.
