Ford is testing facelifted versions of the Figo Hatchback, camouflaged prototypes of which have been spotted in South America.
The car is expected to get styling tweaks to its front and rear. Inside, expect an updated dashboard with a touchscreen infotainment system, a feature that’s missing on the current model.
The updated Figo and Aspire models will also get a new 1.2-litre, three-cylinder petrol motor. This engine has been derived from the new 1.5-litre Dragon motor that will debut in the new Ford EcoSport.
Thanks to an integrated exhaust manifold, the engine is likely to be quite compact. Plus, this all-aluminium engine is likely to be over 10 percent lighter than the motor it replaces. It will pack tech like a variable oil pump and a dual-valve independent valve control, which will boost efficiency.
