The cross-hatch will go on sale in India on April 18, 2018 and Ford dealers are currently accepting bookings. Also, 100 units of the Freestyle will be on sale on the Amazon India website, where they will be available to buy on April 14, 2018, 2pm onwards. You need to pay a booking amount of Rs 10,000 to book the car online. The car features typically crossover-like elements, including a new bonnet, grille, skid plate, alloys and blacked-out headlamps. You also get metallic roof rails and extra body cladding. The car is also fitted with bigger, wider 185/60 R15 wheels.
There are six colours on sale - Canyon Ridge (a brownish finish), Smoke Grey, Moondust Silver, White Gold, Oxford White and Absolute Black. You can get a roof wrap and body strip as optional extras. The car has been raised by an extra 15mm and it also comes with a unique steering and suspension set-up. Under the hood sits a new Dragon-series 1.2-litre petrol engine that makes 96hp and 120Nm and a 1.5-litre diesel that produces 100hp and 215Nm. Both cars are fitted with a five-speed manual and the petrol car will come with an automatic option, but at a later date.
