If you are impressed with the Merc GLC, but are looking for something more stylish, the GLC Coupe might be just the right SUV for you. It will be positioned between the regular GLC and the bigger GLE and is expected to hit our shores in the next few months. This will be the second SUV-coupe from the carmaker, the first being the pricier Mercedes-AMG GLE43 Coupe.
The GLC Coupe is built on the same set of mechanicals as the GLC, but sports a sexier roofline and a rear end similar to other Mercedes Coupes. It will be similar to the regular GLC on the inside too, but expect the sloping roofline to make head room at the rear a little tight.
Expect the GLC to come with the same 2.0-litre turbo-petrol and 2.1-litre diesel engines that is offered on the standard GLC, but, initially, the car is likely to be offered only as a petrol. There could even be a more powerful GLC43 that’s powered by a 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 petrol motor.
Expect the GLC Coupe to be pricier than the regular GLC.
