Jaguar Land Rover’s new 2.0-litre Ingenium turbo-petrol engine will debut on the Velar and will find its way to other cars in the portfolio as well. We don’t have a timeline yet from the company, but the 200hp and 250hp Ingenium units look set to replace the current engines on the Jaguar XE/XF 20t and 25t models soon. The 250hp Ingenium will also replace the existing 240hp motor in the Discovery Sport and Range Rover Evoque in the near future. The Jaguar XJ, however, has been left out from the engine update. Jaguar Land Rover is betting big on petrol motors in India and, the petrol version of the Velar has seen great interest so far. Velar deliveries start on January 20, 2018 in India.
