SVR is the company’s Special Vehicle Operations division – so what you get is a retuned V8-engined F-Type under the hood. The 5.0-litre supercharged motor now makes 575hp at 6,500rpm and 700Nm of peak torque at 3,500rpm. Power is channelled to all four tyres through an eight-speed automatic gearbox.
The Coupe can hit 100kph in a claimed 3.7sec and on to a top speed of 322kph, while the marginally heavier Convertible can also hit 100kph in the same time, and can hit a top speed of 314kph.
The Car comes fitted with lightweight titanium and Inconel exhaust, new 20-inch forged alloy wheels, redesigned aerodynamics, a carbon-fibre rear wing, SVR performance seats and a heated SVR-branded leather steering wheel with aluminium gearshift paddles.
The F-Type line-up in India now includes all-wheel-drive versions of the 550hp F-Type R and a British Design Edition for the F-Type V6 S. The British Design Edition is a special edition with cosmetic changes, both inside and out.
