The company has shown images of the updated Renegade SUV at the Turin Motor Show 2018 in Italy. The Renegade facelift gets subtle tweaks both inside and out.
It comes with revised LED daytime running lights and other lighting tweaks, but maintains its rugged, retro-Jeep styling. In the cabin, based on earlier spy shots, there appears to be a larger infotainment screen instead of the current 6.5-inch unit. The screen has allowed the company to remove the buttons and controls previously surrounding it. The car will be powered by a 140hp, 2.0-litre diesel and a 1.4-litre turbo-petrol engine with full-time four-wheel drive as optional and two-wheel drive as standard.
For the European market, the Renegade facelift could be powered by a 1.0-litre, three-cylinder engine that makes 120hp. There will also be a new 1.3-litre turbo-petrol motor that has two power outputs, 150hp and 180hp.
Expect competitive pricing for the Renegade. Also, Jeep is also readying two more SUVs for and India launch soon. The Indian version of the SUV is likely to come with a 140hp, 2.0-litre diesel and a 1.4-litre turbo-petrol engine with full-time four-wheel drive as optional and two-wheel drive as standard.
