Luxury car brand Lexus has launched its flagship sedan, the LS 500h in India. The car is priced at ₹1.77 crore (ex-showroom, India) and is available in three variants: Luxury (₹1.77 crore), Ultra Luxury (₹1.82 crore) and Distinct (₹1.93 crore). The car features an air suspension and will be available in hybrid form, powered by a V6 petrol-hybrid unit.
Under the hood sits a 3.5-litre petrol engine complemented by two electric motors (which draws power from a 310.8kV lithium-ion battery) to put out 354hp. Power is channelled via a 10-speed automatic transmission. Lexus claims the LS 500h can hit 100kph in 5.4 seconds.
In India, the car is fitted with an air suspension, 28-way adjustable front seats, heated seats with massage function, 12.3-inch wide infotainment screen with navigation. You also get a 2,400-watt, 23-speaker Mark Levinson surround system as standard fitment.
The rear seat reclines up to 48 degrees and you can also extend the footrest. Active noise suspension package is offered as standard as well with this car. Deliveries will commence in April, according to the company.
