The company took the wraps off a larger, seven-seat version of the Lexus RX at the LA Auto Show. The RX L will be available in six and seven-seater forms, and will feature a new reclining bench in the boot.
The US market version of the car is 110 mm longer than the regular RX. The third row passengers can use the car’s three-zone climate control as well and the third row can also be folded down flat for more boot space.
In international markets, the RX L comes with two engines - a 3.5-Litre V6 engine producing 294hp and 352Nm and another similar engine that’s mated to two electric motors, delivering a combined power output of 308hp.
Lexus also showed a new version of its larger LX 570 two-row SUV. The US model comes without a third row of seats, and the company says it removed the passenger space on purpose. The goal was to expand the storage capacity of the car’s boot based on customer feedback.
For now, there’s been no confirmation on whether these cars will come to India.
