Lynk & Co, which is owned by Chinese car firm Geely, has unveiled its new 02 small crossover. The
car will be powered by electric engines and this car will be positioned below the 01 SUV. There will
also be a sedan called the 03, which will be revealed in the future too.
The 02 will be available by 2020 and it will be powered by the three-cylinder 1.5-litre engine from
the Volxo XC40. The engine will be available in both hybrid and plug-in hybrid forms. There will also
be a full electric version that will make its way to the line-up in 2021. Lynk & Co is owned by the
same parent company that owns Volvo, and the company began selling cars in China last year.
Like the 01, the 02 is also built on Geely's Compact Modular Architecture (CMA) platform, which also
underpins cars like the Volvo XC40. You will be able to buy the 02 in a range of two-tone colours
schemes. There are a lot of in-car connectivity features – including large touchscreens and
infotainment systems. You also get what the company calls the ‘world’s first in-car share button’.
The cars will be built at Volvo’s factory in Ghenk, Belgium.
