Prices for the updated SUV start at Rs 12.32 lakh for the diesel variant and Rs 15.43 lakh for the petrol variant (all prices, ex-showroom, Mumbai). On offer are five diesel variants – W5, W7, W9, and W11 (that also comes with an options pack) – and a petrol variant, G AT.
The car has a new grille that’s larger and features a studded pattern with chrome inserts, flanked by halogen projector headlamps with integrated horizontal LED daytime running lamps (DRLs). There’s a new tail as well and there’s a chrome strip on the door sill, as well as other minor tweaks to the overall design. You also get 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels on the top-end variant as an optional extra, while lower cars are fitted with 17-inch wheels.
On the inside, there are tan-coloured seats with quilted stitching, new soft-touch elements on the black dashboard and brushed aluminium inserts on the centre console, gear knob and steering wheel. The engine now makes more power and torque, it has been bumped up by 15hp and 30Nm. The 2.2-litre mHawk engine now makes 155hp and 360Nm of torque and it channels power via a six-speed manual gearbox. You can also get a six-speed automatic transmission and upgrade to an AWD variant as well. The car’s claimed fuel efficiency is 15.4kpl. You also get the SUV with a petrol engine that makes 140hp and 320Nm.
You now get an Arkamys sound system that’s paired to the infotainment unit. The existing Bluesense app can now sync with a smartwatch. As far as safety is concerned, you get six airbags, ABS with EBD, ESP with rollover mitigation, hill hold and hill descent control among others.
