The XUV500 is about to get a major update and the car could hit showrooms in April 2018. The car will feature a heavily revised front and rear. The car will now get LED daytime running lamps, new alloy wheels and other minor tweaks to the exterior. The tail end will also be different from the current car.
The company is going to load the car with features and you could see more premium interiors on the higher spec models. The cabin will feature soft-touch materials on the dash and an upgraded infotainment system. The company is also working on an uprated version of the 2.2-litre diesel motor, and it’s expected to put out around 170hp.
The recently launched XUV500 G9 petrol AT variant is fitted with a new 2.2-litre motor mated to a six-speed automatic gearbox.
