The Mercedes-AMG GT will see a slight bump up in power, as well as subtle cosmetic upgrades as part of its mid-life refresh.
The GT was added to Mercedes' line-up in 2014. The standard car makes 476hp from its 4.0-litre V8, but the unit produces up to 585hp in the Mercedes-AMG GT R, which means there’s room for more power. The base model of the GT could make 507hp, with the S and C models making more than their current 522hp and 557hp respective outputs.
The updated AMG GT range is part of a model overhaul by AMG, where a new GT four-door model will be launched as well. The car will be more technically related to AMG E-class models than the GT sports car, according to the company.
The carmaker is also introducing a new hybrid line-up, which starts with the CLS 53 later this year.
