Mercedes-Maybach forms the upper crust of the Stuttgart based carmaker’s India model line-up and has already met with a considerable amount of success in the Indian car market with their uber-luxury versions of the S-Class.
Now after ushering in the facelifted version of the S-Class, Merc has introduced the refreshed Mercedes-Maybach models as well in the form of the S 560 and S 650. Both cars are already BS-VI-compliant and can run on India’s current BS-IV fuel. Prices start at ₹1.94 crore for the S 560 and ₹2.73 crore for S 650 (all prices ex-showroom).
The S 560 is powered by a V8 petrol motor while the S 650 gets a massive 6.0-Litre V12 petrol mill that produces 630hp at 5,000rpm and a mighty 1,000Nm of peak torque.
A luxo-barge in the truest sense, the S 650 is equipped with driver-assist features like a radar-based driving assistance system and 'Magic Body Control' that detects road undulations, in advance. Others highlights include a new triple-torch design, multi-beam headlamps, new LED tail-lamps and advanced telematics. There’s a 'Magic Roof' with embedded lights mimicking a night sky and the executive seats that are standard with multiple adjustments for the backrest, seat-angle and height. Moreover, the seats are ventilated and get full-body-massage functions and the front co-passenger seat can be pushed all the way forward with the touch of a button, making ample room for the rear passenger to stretch out.
