Mini’s JCW Pro Edition of its popular hatchback, the Cooper, has been launched at ₹43.9 lakh (ex-showroom, India). The car is brought in here as a CBU, and is limited to 20 units for India. The sporty hatchback is exclusively available on Amazon India for bookings.
The JCW badged-model is powered by a 2.0-litre four-cylinder, turbo-petrol engine producing 192hp and 280Nm. The engine is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. The JCW treatment adds another 18hp and 20Nm of torque. The JCW also features launch control, brake energy regeneration, shift point display, an auto start/stop function and an electromechanical power steering. In terms of safety, the car gets dual-front airbags, brake assist, Dynamic Stability Control (DSC), ABS, run-flat indicator, cornering brake control.
It also features a red roof and red door mirrors, a matte black bonnet, LED headlamps surrounded by black trim, 17-inch alloy wheels, dual pipe exhausts finished in carbon- fibre and a controllable exhaust valve system. On the inside, it gets special sport seats with integrated headrests finished in Alcantara leather with a contrasting red colour. The limited edition model comes with a heads-up display that incorporates media and smartphone connectivity. The sound system features 12 speakers and a digital amplifier.
The JCW model is available in two colour options – Midnight Black and British Racing Green.
