Ducati India has launched a new variant of the 1260 Multistrada in India at Rs 21.42 lakh. Unlike the other 1260 models, the Pikes Peak is only available in limited units for India. Deliveries for this high-spec Multistrada are set to begin in mid-July.
This bike is powered by a 1262cc motor that makes 158hp and 129.5Nm of torque. It has also has a new feature called DVT that gives it better low-end torque and makes it Euro-IV compliant. The bike also features a premium Ohlin front fork and rear monoshock. This variant also has a Termignoni exhaust system and quickshifter.
The bike is also painted in the company’s racing inspired colours. The Pikes Peak also gets wheels which are the lightest of all three models. The feature-heavy bike also comes with back-lit switchgear and four rider modes. Other features include a colour TFT display, full-LED headlight and cornering lights.
The kerb weight of this variant of the Multistrada is also the lightest at 229kg. In terms of competition, the bike goes up against the BMW S 1000 XR Pro which is priced at Rs 19.90 lakh (all-prices ex-showroom, India).
