The company is currently readying a rival to the likes of the Toyota Fortuner, the Mitsubishi Pajero Sport and the Ford Endeavour. The car will most probably be shown at next year’s Shanghai motor show.
The car will most probably wear the Paladin badge and will be based on the Navara pick-up truck platform. The leaked images show its final design, which is quite attractive. The nose has the typical Nissan family look and on the side, there’s a large glasshouse with an upward sweeping theme that’s seen on other Nissan SUV/crossovers. The design at the back is a bit simple, with horizontal large-ish tail-lamps and chrome trim on the tailgate.
The car is expected to come fitted with three-rows of seats. Powering the future Nissan is a 2.5-litre four-cylinder motor, mated to manual as well as automatic gearboxes. Nissan may launch this car first in the Chinese market, and for now, there is no news on whether it will make its way to India.
