Nissan has revealed the first sketches of their new SUV, Nissan Kicks. It is expected to be launched in India early next year with drastic changes compared to the international version of Kicks. The official sketches reveal a muscular and sporty design language of the Kicks which targets the youth.
With the launch of Kicks in India, you will see a new SUV design direction from Nissan. The new V-motion grille will be the signature of the manufacturer globally. Also, the Indian version of Kicks is going to be bigger than the one sold internationally. The Indianised version will be slightly taller and longer along with a longer wheebase to maximise the cabin space and boot space.
The bigger size will be achieved with the use of a bigger platform from the Renault Duster, which undepins the Renault Captur as well as Nissan Terrano. The Kicks is expected to get the same family engines as well, which is a 1.5-litre 110 PS diesel engine and 1.6-litre 106 PS petrol engine. We believe Nissan will offer an automatic gearbox with the petrol motor.
