The Leaf Grand Touring Concept, which will debut at the upcoming 2018 Tokyo Auto Salon, is part of the carmaker’s plan to introduce more variants on the Leaf platform.
The concept comes with a dual-tone back and silver exterior finish, black alloy wheels and Nissan’s V-motion grille backlit in blue to symbolise the electric powertrain. For now, there are no details on the car’s powertrain or its interiors, we’ll have to wait till it’s unveiled to find out.
The electric engine on the standard Leaf puts out 150hp and 320Nm. The 40kWh lithium-ion battery pack allows the car to be driven a total of 400km, and it takes a total of 16 hours to charge to 100 percent. The car’s quick charging option allows 80 percent of the battery to be charged in 40 minutes.
While there’s no news on whether the Leaf will make it to India, Nissan is currently evaluating the Note e-Power for our country.
