The BS-VI-compliant version of the vehicle is manufactured at the company’s plant in India. The S-class 350d is powered by a 3.0-litre, six-cylinder diesel engine (Codename: OM656). The engine makes a selective catalytic convertor that’s filled with an AdBlue solution that limits CO2 emissions to the prescribed BS-VI levels.
Mercedes said that the AdBlue solution in the car will be checked and refilled when the car goes to the workshop during its scheduled service. The company also launched the solution as part of its car care products range, which is available at dealerships and workshops.
Interestingly, as a part of its World Water Day announcements, the company has also launched ‘Quick & Clean’ – an eco-friendly car wash solution. The company is also offering the option of a waterless car wash to its customers.
