The Panamera Sport Turismo will go on sale in India in January 2018. The car will also be offered first in Turbo guise and bookings have already begun. The Turbo Sport Turismo costs Rs 2.08 crore (ex- showroom, India). The Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid Sport Turismo, the fastest Panamera Sport Turismo model, is also part of the line-up and it costs Rs 2.38 crore. This model, however, will be on a made-to-order basis.
In its Turbo guise, the car uses a 4.0-litre V8 that makes 550hp and 770Nm. An 8-speed PDK gearbox channels power to all four wheels. Air suspension is standard, while rear-wheel steering is an optional extra. Porsche claims the car can hit 100kph in 3.6s and can go on to hit 304kph.
The 4 E-Hybrid uses the same 550hp V8, mated to a 136hp electric motor, which means it makes a mammoth 680hp with 850Nm. It can hit 100kph in 3.4sec. The car will soon be joined by the brand's most important model for the country, the third-generation Cayenne, which will debut here in June next year.
