The company is looking at launching the new SUV here in June 2018. There are no details yet, but the Cayenne could feature a 3.0-litre, V6 motor that will be the mainstay of the line-up. A 4.0-litre, V8 Cayenne S Diesel could be offered too.
In India, we may get a few petrol options as well. The Cayenne and Cayenne S are fitted with newly-developed V6 petrol engines mated to a new eight-speed automatic gearbox. Porsche India is also looking at the feasibility of bringing the Cayenne hybrid to India.
While the new car does resemble the old car on the outside, the interiors are all-new. The new Cayenne will be an important car for Porsche in India, the old Cayenne is the carmaker’s bestseller in our market.
