A two-door Range Rover SV Coupe is in the works and the carmaker has stated that it will make only 999 examples. The car will commemorate the company’s 70th year and pays homage to the original two-door Range Rover from 1970.
The company has shown a picture of the car’s interior’s four-seat layout – the front and rear seats are trimmed in different-coloured leather. While details are scarce, the SV Coupé will mix design elements of the standard car with bespoke features.
Land Rover chief design officer Gerry McGovern said, “The Range Rover SV Coupé is a highly compelling design with peerless refinement and uncompromised sophistication, from its breathtaking exterior proportions to its sumptuous, beautifully appointed interior.”
Under the hood will be the company’s supercharged 5.0-litre V8 that produces up to 565hp. The company’s Special Vehicle Operations team will produce this car and it will be on display at the Geneva motor show.
