Given the high demand for the Kwid 1.0 and 1.0 AMT, Renault has introduced its entry-level hatchback in a more affordable RxL variant. So far, the more powerful versions of the hatchback was only available on the fully loaded RxT and RxT(O) variants. The carmaker has introduced the new variants of the Kwid 1.0 after the hatchback has sold over 1.3 lakh units since its launch in 2015.
The RxL variants of the Kwid 1.0 and 1.0 AMT are priced at ₹3.54 lakh and ₹3.84 lakh respectively, making the lesser-powered Kwid RxL (₹3.32 lakh) cheaper by ₹20,000.
This more affordable variant loses out on equipment like the touchscreen infotainment system and the optional driver side airbag offered on the RxT and RxT(O) variants.
The introduction of the more affordable variants of the Kwid brings its prices closer to those of its chief rival, the Maruti Alto K10 and Alto K10 AMT.
