The bikes have been spotted testing in new colours in Australia. Revelry Cycles, a Royal Enfield dealer in Sydney, Australia, put up pictures of a white/red Interceptor and a black/grey-coloured GT 650. These could be the colours the bikes launch in. Apart from the colour schemes, the bikes remain unchanged.
The RE Interceptor 650 is a retro-styled street motorcycle and it is fitted with a one-piece quilted seat that’s pretty much completely flat. It comes with a conventional handlebar and mildly rear-set foot pegs that make for an upright riding stance. The Continental GT 650 features clip-on handlebars and a solo seat with a dual-seat option. Both are powered by a 648cc, air-cooled, four-valve SOHC, fuel-injected parallel-twin motor that makes 47hp and 52Nm.
The engines are mated to a six-speed gearbox with a slip-assist clutch. The bike comes with a conventional telescopic fork and gas-charged twin rear shock absorbers. As far as braking is concerned, you get a single disc, up front, and a smaller disc at the rear with standard dual channel ABS.
When launched, the bikes will be priced between Rs 3-3.5 lakh.
