You can now get the Classic 350 with a rear disc brake in the Redditch Red colour scheme. Earlier only the Gunmetal Grey colour could be had with a rear disc. The bike is priced at Rs 1.47 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) and both colour options cost around Rs 8,000 more than their standard rear drum brake-equipped versions.
The 350 is the most popular bike in Royal Enfield’s stable, and it averaged around 50,000 units of the model every month. Powering this bike is the same air-cooled, 346cc single-cylinder engine, which makes 19.8hp and 28Nm and is paired to a five-speed gearbox.
India is yet to see ABS on any of its RE models but the upcoming twin-cylinder bikes from the bike maker will be the first to offer ABS.
