The company has confirmed that a hotter, RS-badged Kodiaq will join its international line-up. There is no official confirmation, yet but the model was shown in a recent trailer released by the company. The Kodiaq RS is expected to be unveiled at the upcoming Paris motor show in October. It was also spotted testing at the Nurburgring recently.
The engine is a 240hp/500Nm, 2.0-litre, four-cylinder, twin-turbo diesel engine, that also powers the Volkswagen Tiguan sold internationally. There, however, won’t be a petrol option, nor will it get the choice of a manual transmission, it will get only a dual-clutch automatic gearbox as standard.
The RS version will be powered by a more powerful motor, it will get a retuned suspension and a tweaked steering to aid cornering ability. It will sport design elements similar to the Octavia RS, both outside and inside.
