The restyled nose of the updated Octavia houses a new quad headlamp arrangement and the top trims get adaptive, full-LED lighting with an auto high-beam function. There’s a reworked bonnet and revised bumpers as well.
The car will come with features that include hands-free parking function, panoramic sunroof with remote operation, 12-way electric-adjust driver seat with memory, touchscreen infotainment system with SmartLink smartphone integration, reverse parking camera, navigation and a driver fatigue monitoring system, depending on the trim.
On the inside, there’s a larger 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with the old car’s physical buttons making way for touch ones. The same three engines will be available with this car.
Buyers waiting for the RS will be delighted, Skoda plans to launch the Octavia vRS around Diwali this year. The vRS for India is powered by a 230hp, 2.0-litre, turbo-petrol engine.
