Skoda was readying special iterations of its sedans sold in India to add to their appeal - the Octavia black edition was launched earlier, and the carmaker is now up to launch the Rapid Monte Carlo.
The Monte Carlo is based on the Rapid sold abroad, but the India version, while being based on the Indian car, will closely resemble the international model. The car will come with a red exterior shade and an all-black interior. An all-black grille and wing mirrors, along with 16-inch alloy wheels and a tailgate spoiler, both in black shade are part of the package as well.
The car will also feature unique aluminium scuff plates, faux-carbon fibre trim on the dashboard, a flat-bottom multifunction steering wheel, mobile holder, unique floor mats and upholstery with red stitching on the gear knob and aluminium sport pedals.
Mechanically, there are no changes on this version and the Monte Carlo costs Rs 30,000 more than the standard top-spec Rapid.
