The 125cc segment has a new entrant, TVS’ Ntorq. Honda is the current segment leader with its Grazia and the Activa 125. Suzuki follows it with its Access 125. The new Aprilia SR125 is also on sale and there are a few more 125cc Vespa models as well, but they’re priced quite high. This leaves us with the new TVS, the Access 125 and the Grazia for this comparison.

Styling and Tech

The Ntorq’s contemporary and sporty styling is nice and you can get the scooter in bright colours like yellow and lime green. The new instrument cluster features Bluetooth connectivity and shows engine oil temperature, average speed, navigation, incoming calls, SMS and phone signal strength. The Grazia looks contemporary and is reasonably aggressive. The LED headlight is great and there are sharp lines all around. This scooter also has a fully digital instrument cluster. The Access 125 gets a chrome-bezel in its trapezoidal headlight and there are neat round, chrome mirrors as well, seen on the SE model. The instrument cluster is a simple digi-analogue unit.

Scooter Power

The Ntorq 125 is powered by a 124.8cc motor that makes 9.4hp and 10.5Nm, which is the most here. It makes 0.9hp more than the Grazia and 0.8hp more than the Access. The TVS scooter has 12-inch wheels at the front and rear, with wider 100/80 and 110/80 tyres. But, the TVS weighs 116kg, it is 14kg heavier than the Access and 9kg heavier than the Grazia.

The Grazia uses the same 124.9cc motor as the Activa; and it makes 8.5hp and 10.5Nm. The 12-inch front wheel where’s 90/90 rubber while the 10-inch rear wheel are fitted with a 90/100 tyre. You also get Honda’s Combi-brake System. The Access 125 uses a 124cc engine that makes 8.7hp and 10.2Nm. It gets a 12-inch front wheel with 90/90 rubber and 10-inch rear wheel with 90/100 rubber. Like the other scooters here, there is an optional front disc brake as well.
