The X451 Hatchback will be shown at the upcoming Auto Expo 2018. The teasers so far preview parts of the car’s front bumper and sides. From the second preview, you can see a Nexon-like faux ceramic insert below its window-line. The car uses the company’s new Impact Design language 2.0. The Tiago, Tigor and Nexon are based on the first level of this Impact design language.
The car is built on Tata Motors’ Advanced Modular Platform (AMP) and will be positioned above the Tiago. Tata will take on the Maruti Baleno and Hyundai i20 with this car.
Mechanically, it will feature more powerful versions of the Tiago’s 1.2-litre petrol engine and 1.05-litre diesel motor. The Nexon’s 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine may also feature. The car will go on sale in 2019.
