Tata has spared no effort into loading its latest flagship, the Hexa, with equipment and features. The model is priced at Rs 11.99-17.49 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) and comes with a powerful 2.2-litre diesel engine. It can be had with both manual and automatic gearboxes, and even an all-wheel-drive system.
What’s interesting is that dealers are stating a high demand for the costlier automatic – XMA and XTA – variants. While there is already a waiting period of about two months for all the variants, Tata will have to ramp up production of the automatic variants to avoid further delay in deliveries.
The Hexa’s pricing undercuts that if its chief rival, the Mahindra XUV500. However, the Tata is priced almost at par with the Toyota Innova Crysta MPV.
