Pictures of the upcoming Volvo V60 have surfaced online ahead of the car’s official Geneva motor show launch. The pictures show the car side-on and show its rear-end styling. The V60 gets the Volvo family face and the side and rear styling follows the new family look of the V90.
The car will share engines with the XC60 SUV and will be built on the same Scalable Product Architecture as the rest of the cars in the Swedish carmaker’s range. This means that there could be a 407hp T8 Twin Engine plug-in hybrid as part of the range. The car will also come with two 2.0-litre four-cylinder diesel engines and one petrol unit. A smaller hybrid, which uses a 1.5-litre three-cylinder petrol engine, shared with the XC40 small SUV, could also make it to the line-up later.
Trims will mirror that of the XC60 and so will the safety tech on offer. Prices are expected to be less than the XC60 and Volvo is also introducing subscription plans, named 'Care by Volvo' for its models.
