The company will showcase its all-new S60 on 20 June. The BMW 3-Series rival will be powered by an engine that makes 409bhp. The S60 will feature a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder petrol engine and plug-in hybrid system, courtesy the brand’s Polestar division.
Even things like braking, suspension and other modifications have also been modified with input from Polestar. Brand boss Håkan Samuelsson said that the S60 will be built at a new factory in South Carolina. Construction of the new car will commence in late-2018, and Volvo has already begun building the plant, in fact work has been ongoing since January 2016.
All S60s will be built at the plant and it has a production capacity of 1 lakh units per year.
