The bike was spotted testing recently in near-production form. Unlike the Fazer FI, the Fazer 250 comes with a full and rather substantial front fairing. The bike features brawny shoulders with new air intakes on either side of the headlight (the air intakes are sealed though so they may not be a functional add-on, more for appearance). The full LED headlamp looks similar to the naked FZ25, but features a new LED running light below.
These pictures show the bike in a new satin red and gold finish with some black plastic panels. There isn’t too much graphic work and there’s subtle badging and striping along the side of the fairing and the top. The rest is similar to the FZ25, with the same instrument cluster, wheels, tyres, brakes and exhaust design. The bike will most probably be powered by a 249cc air/oil cooled single cylinder engine that will put out around 20.9hp/20Nm. It may be slower than the FZ25 because of the added weight of the fairing and ABS looks unlikely to feature on this bike.
The bike will most probably be launched in October.
