The GTS-spec Cayman and Boxster will be the new range-toppers, and will come with performance upgrades and few exterior changes. The German manufacturer is currently readying the cars for their official unveiling this year. Both mid-engined sports cars are powered by a slightly modified version of the turbocharged flat-four engine. The engine is expected to develop 380hp for the GTS models, which will be an increase of about 15hp over the current Boxster S and Cayman S.
The sports cars have been spotted testing at the Nürburgring, and the spy shots reveal a new front bumper design and centrally placed twin exhausts. Similar to Porsche’s other GTS models; the cars will also feature a reworked suspension and a slightly lowered stance. The GTS variants will be fitted with the Sport Chrono package along with Porsche’s Active Suspension Management.
Both, the Boxster GTS and Cayman GTS are expected to be at Porsche’s stand at the upcoming LA motor show.
