Lexus is currently evaluating bringing its entry-level crossover here. The facelifted NX was showcased at the Shanghai motor show this year. It features revised suspension tuning along with an adaptive variable suspension system from the LC 500 sports coupé. The carmaker has also made a few styling tweaks on the outside and has included an updated infotainment system on the inside.
In international markets, this car is available as the NX Turbo with a 238hp, 2.0-litre, turbo-petrol engine, or as the Lexus NX 300h that gets a196hp, 2.5-litre, petrol-hybrid powertrain (like the one in the ES 300h).
Like the ES 300h, the NX, if it makes its way here, will be locally assembled. It will be pit against the similarly-sized Mercedes GLA and the Audi Q3. This car will be the entry point into the carmaker's SUV line-up if launched here.
