While we know a fair amount of details about the new upcoming MPV, codenamed U321, we still don’t know what it will be called. On July 31, Mahindra MD Pawan Goenka will announce the name at a press conference to be held in Mumbai.
This will be the first passenger car made by Mahindra’s North American Technical Centre. The car will be assembled at the company’s plant in Nashik. The car will also debut Mahindra’s new 1.5-litre diesel engine, said to make around 121hp and 300Nm, and it will initially be mated to a six-speed manual gearbox as standard.
It will be sold with both, seven- and eight-seat configurations and you can expect upmarket comfort and connectivity features like Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, automatic climate control, projector headlamps and daytime running lamps.
