  • More features for Nissan Micra

The refreshed Micra features orange styling elements to the interior trim, a new steering wheel from the Sunny, follow-me-home headlamps and rain-sensing wipers. Higher trims of the hatch will come equipped with a 2-DIN music system, but there's no touchscreen yet on offer.

Mechanically, there’s been no change. This car continues to come with a 1.2-litre petrol motor and a 1.5-litre K9K diesel engine. There’s no diesel automatic or a petrol manual - the petrol engine comes with a CVT gearbox, while the diesel comes with a five-speed manual transmission.

The base petrol CVT Micra comes at a starting price of ₹5.99 lakh, while the top-spec diesel manual variant costs ₹7.23 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The Micra Active (essentially a stripped down Micra) can be had with a petrol manual configuration. The Micra diesel returns 23.08kpl, while the X-Tronic CVT Automatic returns 19.34kpl as per ARAI figures. The Micra currently being sold in India is still the previous generation car and the company currently has no plans to bring the all-new, fifth-gen Micra here for now.

The 2017 Nissan Micra has been introduced in six variants and are priced as follows:

XL (P) CVT – ₹5,99,000
XV (P) CVT Orange – ₹6,95,000
XV (P) CVT – ₹6,95,000
XL (D) MT – ₹6,62,000
XL (D) MT Comfort Orange – ₹7,23,000
XL (D) MT Comfort – ₹7,23,000

The updated car also comes with an extended warranty package of 3 years/50,000km.
