The all-new Amaze will make its global debut at the 2018 Auto Expo. Honda will show the production-ready car at the Auto Expo. Honda is looking at seizing some of Maruti Suzuki Dzire's 55 percent market share.
While the first-gen Amaze felt a bit spartan, Honda has said that the new car will be plusher, better equipped and more desirable. The car will borrow a lot of styling elements from the City and will be built on a modified version of the current car's platform, and will be built to meet more stringent safety regulations.
The new Amaze will be better packaged and will offer more space on the inside. You can expect the cabin to feature a touchscreen display for the infotainment system. The car’s 88hp, 1.2-litre petrol and 100hp, 1.5-litre diesel engines will be carried over from the current-gen car, as well as the transmissions, which include a five-speed gearbox and a CVT automatic.
