The company has shown its Xmotion concept SUV at the Detroit motor show. It will showcase the company’s future design direction. The concept has three rows and is a six-seater SUV. On the inside, there’s also seven digital screens, including one that runs across the entire dashboard.
The Xmotion's cabin is a combination of traditional Japanese design with lots of tech for the future. Nissan's concept will also feature next-generation driverless technology and it has increased investment in autonomous technology, part of its Intelligent Mobility plans, which it revealed back in 2016. The company has already sold 75,000 cars with its Propilot technology.
Nissan has been showcasing its pre-production autonomous technology for a while now, and the goal is to encourage external stakeholders and regulators to make it easier for driverless cars to start plying on the road.
