The next major motor show, post the recently concluded Geneva show, is in New York, and it will be held from March 30 to April 8, 2018. The American show is traditionally SUV and truck-friendly, but there will be a lot of sports cars on display as well. Here’s a preview of what you can expect.
Cadillac XT4
The company will take the wraps off a compact SUV at the show. Called the XT4, the company is hoping the production model will help boost sales overall.
The most potent version of its F-Pace SUV will be on display at the event. Under the hood sits a supercharged 5.0-litre V8 mill that makes over 540hp.
Kia K900
The carmakers sedan for America shows us what you can expect in some of its cars around the world.
Mercedes-Benz C-class / C-class Coupé / C-class Cabriolet/AMG C 63
The facelifted C-class was shown earlier in Geneva, and at New York, the tweaked Coupé and Cabriolet variants will be on display. The company will also show the powerful twin-turbocharged V8-engined C 63 as well.
Subaru Forester
The hybrid version of this car will only be shown at the upcoming Beijing motor show on April 25, but before that, Subaru will unveil its new Forester SUV in New York.
Toyota RAV4
The company has already begun its campaign for the RAV4 so it’s close to going on sale. Like the Auris, this car ditches its diesel engine for a punchy 2.0-litre petrol-electric hybrid.
Volkswagen Atlas five-seater
The seven-seat Atlas is a North America-focused model and the company will show a concept that’s inspired by it, but it will be a five-seater in all likelihood.
