Tata Motor's brand new sedan, the Tigor, previously known as the Kite 5, was on display at the Geneva motor show this week. Tata will launch the Tigor sedan in India on March 29, 2016.
The special 'Geneva Edition' Tigor has a sporty exterior, complete with LED tail-lights and a swooping roof. The front grille of the sedan features a chrome strip that extends into the projector headlamps to give the car an upmarket look.
The interior of the car is built keeping connectivity and entertainment in mind. The touchscreen system works with eight speakers and features park assist functionality as well as acts as the display for the rear camera. The Tigor showcased in Geneva shares its 85hp 1.2-litre three-cylinder Revotron petrol engine with the Tiago, but the model to be released in India is likely to come with the option of a 70hp 1.05-litre Revotorq diesel as well. The car will come with a five-speed manual gearbox, and it may feature an automatic transmission as well.
The Tigor will be launched on March 29 in India and the car's unique positioning in is segment should work in Tata’s favour.
