The Audi A5 Cabriolet and Sportback will get a 190hp diesel engine. The S5, on the other hand, which comes only as a Sportback, will be equipped with a 354hp V6 petrol. Audi is all set to add the A5 models and the S5 to its line-up on October 5.
The A5 Sportback and the A5 Cabriolet will be powered by a 2.0-litre diesel, making 190hp and 400Nm. Both the A5s will be equipped with a seven-speed automatic gearbox. Audi’s claimed 0-100kph time for the Sportback is 7.9sec and 7.8sec for the Cabriolet version. The major difference between them is that the A5 Cabriolet comes with all-wheel-drive and the A5 Sportback will only be available as front-wheel-drive.
The S5 being the ‘S’ version will use a 3.0-litre, turbocharged petrol V6 making 354hp and 500Nm. This car will come with an eight-speed transmission, sending power to all four wheels. Along with the power difference comes the price difference, the S5 will be priced at approximately ₹65 lakh (ex-showroom) and the A5 diesel will be priced at around ₹55-57 lakh with the Cabriolet version being marginally higher than that.
