The new warranty being provided by Renault lasts for 4 years or 1,00,000km. This warranty essentially doubles the standard warranty of 2 years or 50,000km. This will result to an easier ownership experience for purchasers.
At present, one can have the Kwid in five trims and two motor options. The smaller 800cc engine can only be had with a manual gearbox, but the bigger 1000cc engine can be opted for with an AMT transmission. The manufacturer has also upgraded the Renault Secure programme for all of the models in its line-up.
The Datsun Redigo and Suzuki Alto are the two biggest rivals and the offer similar warranty schemes. The Alto comes with a 2 year or 40,000km warranty which can further be extended to 3 years or 1,00,000kms. Interestingly, Renault offers an unlimited kilometre warranty for a time period of 2 or 3 years.
Additionally, Renault is offering some aftersales schemes such as Renault Assist, Workshop on Wheels and Passion on Wheels.
